Brunswick Backyard Family Portraits

/ June 19, 2018/ Sessions Showcase/ 0 comments

This beautiful extended family portrait session took place in their own backyard, which was stunning but lacked shade. We lucked out with an overcast day, and the highlight was their bright, colorful clothes set against the green summer growth.

The family is a perfect example of how clothes don’t have be choreographed. They stand out against the backdrop and are coordinated by being bright and cheerful, without being too “matchy-matchy.”

We captured each individual family group and couple. The newest addition was only 3 weeks old, and capturing the older boys with their new cousin was also a must. She was asleep for our entire session!

Her little tongue hanging out just cracked me up. She was so chill! We had perfect weather, the ideal temperatures not too hot or too cold, ideal for this sleepy newborn.

This lovely couple happens to be my cousin Stacey and her husband, and I was so honored when she referred me to her in-laws to do this extended family photo session! With 11 people coordinating schedules, I was grateful we missed the rain by an hour or so.

Grandma and grandpa are also moving, so this session was extra special for them to have in their backyard. Good luck in your new home, and thank you so much for allowing me to capture memories to treasure and hang in your new home!
