Fall Family Photos in Ohio

/ November 11, 2016/ Preparing for your Session/ 0 comments

What to wear to your family photos in the fall? In Ohio, the leaves reached their peak the week of October 14 this year. While we are at the very tail end of fall color, there’s still opportunity to make the most of your outdoor photo session.

I love jewel tones, and navy and gray is my favorite for transitioning from fall into winter. I’ve popped those colors with a mustard yellow to bring out the fall colors. When it’s time to buy Christmas cards, you can pair your photos with a pretty gold script on your Christmas card and get a classic holiday feel from your fall photos.

Locations with pine trees offer an opportunity to capture Christmas photos, while trees with lingering leaves can still capture the essence of fall. Bare can be beautiful!

What to do when the weather gets cold for my outdoor photos?
Embrace it! Put on those hats, scarves, and mittens. Look for solid colored outerwear to compliment any patterns or plaids you’re wearing underneath. We can show off those layers with unzipped vests or jackets while we’re taking the photos.

If you want to remove coats just before your photos, that’s okay too. If you’re prepared for the chill, we can create magical family photos no matter what the temperature is.
